This design is built around the juxtaposition and mutual permeation of two states — the physical and the chemical. On the physical level, the space's rectilinear volumes, straight walls, and cabinetry systems express a logic of deconstruction and assembly, constructing a stable, rational structural order. On the chemical level, fluid, reddish-brown curved volumes respond to microbial action — fermentation and decay — manifesting as fused, irregular, organic forms. These curved surfaces appear to seep, melt, and grow out from the rigid geometric edges, suggesting traces of structure being eroded and transformed over time and through force. As seen in the perspective and exploded-axonometric drawings, the rectilinear geometric spaces and the flowing organic volumes are not opposing forces but interwoven and interpenetrating ones — the physical structure gradually loosens and ferments under chemical effect, giving rise to new spatial relationships and experiential qualities.
